Painting Superior

The array of colours, diverse geology and vastness of this freshwater sea known as Lake Superior continues to inspire generations of artists as it did the Group of Seven. Hear their stories, learn from their style, and apply them to create your own Lake Superior National Marine Conservation Area-inspired painting.

Bring a blanket or folding chair and create your masterpiece! Painting supplies will be provided to each visitor including a canvas on which to create their own Superior masterpiece to take home and commemorate their time on the greatest lake.

The ‘Luxury Version’ of this program places a special emphasis on the Group of Seven's time in the Superior region. This version provides ergonomic seating and improved painting equipment to ensure a memorable time on Superior's shores.

Reservations must be made at least 48 hours in advance.

Program can be scheduled any time between 10 AM and 4:00 PM

• Painting Superior is offered at Red Rock Marina, Terrace Bay Beach, Schreiber Beach and Nipigon Marina. Other locations may be possible with advanced notice - additional charges may apply.
• Program takes place outdoors- please come prepared for the day’s weather!
• Minimum 4 people. Groups of up to 20 are welcome!
• Painting supplies provided
