Programming at The Forks is over for the season, but the site remains open for visitors to enjoy. The Fort Parka playground and splash pad are closed for the season. We look forward to seeing you in 2025!

Join us for a Parka Party!
Hey kids! Join Parks Canada at The Forks this summer to play, learn and explore with Parka. Free programming will be offered every Thursday through Monday from July 2 to Sept. 2.
Crafting with Parka - 10 am to 4 pm

Parka Aerobics - 10:30 am and 1:30 pm
Flap your wings and stomp your paws with Parka. Staying active has never been so easy!
Parkaeology - 11:30 am and 2:30 pm
Parka’s no stranger to digging in the dirt. Help her discover what secrets lie beneath our feet.
Adventure Place
Pop by Adventure Place for all sorts of interactive activities like a touch table, fun facts, and more! Free programming will be offered daily from 10 am to 4 pm from July 2 to Sept. 2. While you’re there, grab an Xplorer booklet (also available at the Travel Manitoba Visitor Centre on Forks Market Road) for games and puzzles related to The Forks.
On-Site Activities
Pull up a chair, stay a while and create a craft with Parks Canada staff! On Thursdays, Saturdays and Mondays, learn the art of finger weaving and make a bracelet. On Fridays and Sundays, discover how to bead and put together your own beading project. These programs run from 10 am to 4 pm.
NOTE: Program schedule may change due to inclement weather or operational needs.
Fort Parka water park and playground
A day at The Forks isn’t complete without a trip to Fort Parka to explore the playground and cool off at the water park! Before your visit, read the rules below.
Enjoy at your own risk. CHILDREN MUST BE SUPERVISED BY AN ADULT AT ALL TIMES. This park is for children 12 years of age and under, and their adult caregivers.
