Notice of prohibition: Metal detectors

METAL DETECTORS
EFFECTIVE DATE:
Until further notice.
PROHIBITED ACTIVITY:
Pursuant to 12(1) of the National Historic Parks General Regulations, it is prohibited to use a metal detector within Port-Royal National Historic Site of Canada.
It is prohibited to:
Operate a metal detector.
WHERE:
Port-Royal National Historic Site of Canada.
WHY:
To preserve the integrity of the park, minimize disturbance to visitors and enhance the enjoyment of the site.
NOTE:
It is an offence under the Canada National Parks Act to contravene these prohibitions. Violators may be charged.
