Notice of prohibition: Drone use prohibited

DRONE USE PROHIBITED

EFFECTIVE DATE:

Until further notice.

PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES:

Pursuant to 12(1) of the National Historic Parks General Regulations, by order of the Parks Canada Superintendent of the Mainland Nova Scotia Field Unit, it is prohibited to use a drone within Port-Royal National Historic Site of Canada.

It is prohibited to:

Operate an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV or drone)

WHERE:

Port-Royal National Historic Site of Canada.

WHY:

To preserve the integrity of the park, minimize disturbance to visitors and enhance the enjoyment of the site.

NOTE:

It is an offence under the Canada National Parks Act to contravene these prohibitions. Violators may be charged.
