Parks Canada advises that the Upper Nicholsons Swing Bridge is currently inoperable to conduct repairs that were identified though a recent inspection.

The bridge will be placed in the open position from now until October 15 to allow for passage of vessels for the remainder of the navigation season. During this time the bridge will not be available for pedestrians and cyclists. After the operational season ends, repairs will be completed and the bridge will be swung in the closed position, permitting pedestrian access throughout the winter.

While the bridge is in the open position, pedestrians and cyclists are invited to use the lock gate crossings.
