PETERBOROUGH, ON – July 25, 2022 – Parks Canada advises that the Maria Street Swing Bridge located at Lock 20 between Armour Road and Ashburnham Drive in Peterborough, Ontario, will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic on July 28, 2022.

This closure is necessary to complete repair work to ensure the continued safe and reliable operation of the bridge. Boat traffic will not be affected by the closure.

Detour signage will be posted to direct motorists to alternate crossings at Parkhill Road East (via the Warsaw Road Swing Bridge) or Lansdowne Street. Parks Canada thanks area residents and visitors for their patience and understanding.
