  • Bite Sized History: Afterlife and the Occult

    Dive into beliefs of the afterlife at Woodside and discover the ways Victorians approached death and funeral customs. Afterwards, venture into the mystical and uncover the Victorian fascination with seances and the occult.

    Duration: 1.5 hrs

    We’re back with a brand new murder mystery to unravel! Enter a time when the tools of investigation relied on keen observation and sharp wit. Catch the killer before they strike again! This is a classic “who done it?” with a historical twist! Explore the historic house while uncovering clues and interviewing suspects with hopes of finding the guilty party. Join us before the show once doors open to meet the characters and enjoy some light refreshments. Prizes to be awarded for some and fun to be had by all!

    This is a show with adult themes, as such the age limit is 12 and up. 

    Tickets are limited so get yours today! Bookings must be requested via email at woodsideontario@pc.gc.ca. In your request, please specify the number of adult, senior, and child tickets you require.

    Cozy up for the winter by the historic wood burning stove and discover the Christmas of yester year. Explore the beautifully decorated King Family home with Christmas garland, ornaments, and awaken your senses with the sweet smell of Victorian simmer pots.

    Join the Kings for a Victorian Christmas event for the whole family! Warm yourselves with roasted chestnuts cooked by an outdoor fire, then head inside the historic Woodside home to dress the family Christmas tree. Join in festive games and activities and see for yourself how Victorian-era families celebrated this special time of year.
