WHAT: Pursuant to Section 36(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, of the Canada National Parks Act, the following area is closed to all traffic and travel by order of the Superintendent:

WHERE: Linnet Lake Loop Trail and Prince of Wales Trails
• Emerald Bay remains open
• The hotel area remains open

WHY: A female black bear and cubs are frequenting the area. The bear has exhibited aggressive behaviour towards people, in defence of her cubs.

PENALTY: Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act: maximum penalty
$25 000.
