PURSUANT TO SECTION 7(1) OF THE NATIONAL PARKS GENERAL REGULATIONS, TRAVEL BY HORSE BACK ON OR THROUGH THE FOLLOWING TRAILS IN WATERTON LAKES NATIONAL PARK IS PROHIBITED FROM JULY 1 – AUGUST 31 ANNUALLY BY ORDER OF THE SUPERINTENDENT, WATERTON LAKES NATIONAL PARK(1).
Alderson Lake trail (from Cameron Falls to Alderson Lake
Bertha Lake trail
Crypt lake trail (from Crypt Landing to Crypt Lake)

Cameron Lake – Lakeshore Trail
Hell Roaring Creek / Hell Roaring Falls Trail
Kootenai Brown Pedestrian / Cycling Trail
Linnet Lake Trail
Prince of Wales Hill and associated trails
Red Rock Canyon Loop
Sofa Cirque Route
Waterton Park Townsite, including the Townsite Campground and the beaches of Emerald Bay and Upper Waterton Lake
[1] Horses permitted September 1 – June 30 annually except during area closures for park management services. All horses must be under physical control.
