Caribou Cabin
Mount Revelstoke National Park
December 1 2024 to April 30 2025
Mount Revelstoke National Park offers a unique winter opportunity for small groups or families to ski or snowshoe up the mountain and spend the night at Caribou Cabin. Bookings include exclusive use of the 6-bed cabin (3 bunk beds) nestled at around 1550 metres elevation on Mount Revelstoke, 1000 metres above the valley below. Enjoy the peaceful mountain setting and starry night skies (if the weather cooperates). Access to the cabin is an 8.8 km trip up the Summit Trail with the last 5 kilometres on the Meadows in the Sky Parkway at crossing 6. For those hardy folks, you can also wind your way up the mountain following the snowy Meadows in the Sky Parkway for 20 km to the cabin.
The cabin is set among subalpine fir and Engelmann spruce trees, giving its visitors an opportunity to experience the magical Columbia Mountains sunrises and sunsets from the solitude of the cabin or the Mount Revelstoke summit (6 km away). Overnight, there isn't a light visible on any horizon at the cabin and on clear nights, the Milky Way brightens the sky.
Caribou Cabin is a rustic log cabin operated by Mount Revelstoke and Glacier national parks. Make sure to pack what you need for a comfortable stay. Reservations are only available through the Revelstoke Administration Office, inquire from Monday to Friday during opening hours.
