What:

Pursuant to Section 4(5) of the National Parks Domestic Animals Regulations, the following domestic animals are prohibited on Moon Lake Trail by order of the Superintendent:

• Dogs (Canis lupus familiaris)

Additionally, Pursuant to Section 7(1) of the National Park General Regulations, the following restrictions are in place for the Moon Lake Trail by order of the Superintendent:

• Groups of 2 or less are prohibited
• Use of the Moon Lake Trail is restricted to Hiking only (bicycles, e-bikes are prohibited).

Moon Lake Trail

Why: 

To reduce potential human-wildlife conflict due to wildlife frequenting the trail.

Note: 

Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act. Maximum Penalty $25,000
