SPECIAL FISHING RESTRICTIONS

SPECIAL FISHING RESTRICTIONS

Pursuant to subsection 35(1) of the National Parks of Canada Fishing Regulations, the following special restrictions are in place for Tuktut Nogait National Park:

  • Aggregate daily catch and possession limit for Lake Trout and Arctic Grayling is 1 fish; AND
  • The catch and possession limit for Arctic Char in the Hornaday River is zero; AND
  • The following areas are closed to angling:
    • All waters downstream of La Ronciere Falls;
    • Seven Island Lake; and
    • Akluk Creek.

Anglers are reminded that they must possess a valid National Park Fishing Permit and follow the National Parks of Canada Fishing Regulations when fishing in National Parks. Permits are available from the Parks Canada offices in Paulatuk and Inuvik.
