Christmas Tree Harvest
Prince Albert National Park
November 22 to December 23, 2024
Start or continue a wonderful family tradition while protecting Waskesiu from potential wildfires by cutting down a Christmas tree in Prince Albert National Park!
The trees are grown in nature and are harvested from the fuel break surrounding the Waskesiu townsite. Removing the trees helps protect the community from wildfire. Christmas Tree Harvest permits are available free of charge from the Visitor Centre. A valid park pass is required to enter the park at all times.
Tips: Trees must be accessed on foot. Wear winter boots and warm clothing. It is recommended that you bring a first-aid kit, trail guide, extra dry mittens and socks, a handsaw, and a sled to carry out your tree. Chainsaws and all-terrain vehicles are not permitted.
