Ice skating
Prince Albert National Park
Lace up and hit the ice in Prince Albert National Park!
The Waskesiu Recreation Association maintains a small indoor skating rink to be enjoyed by park visitors. There is a heated warming area to change into your skates, restrooms and drinking water. User fees apply and are collected on the honour system via a lock box in the warming area.
- The natural ice skating rink is typically ready for skating by mid-December and suitable for skating until late March.
- Helmets should be worn while skating.
- Please use sponge pucks or balls for playing hockey; hard pucks may damage the facility and are not allowed.
The skating rink is located at the intersection of Montreal Drive and Elk Street behind the Wapiti Regional Library and Recreation Hall.
