Cross-country Skiing
Prince Albert National Park
Red Deer and Fisher are popular trails that start in Waskesiu townsite. For more adventure, try skiing to Crean Lake or leave your vehicle at one of the trailhead parking lots and tour the backcountry. Pack a lunch, remember your safety equipment and make a day of it!
Good neighbours are great to have! Thanks to our partnership, Prince Albert National Park is connected to the Great Blue Heron Provincial Park cross-country ski trail network. The Spruce River Highlands Trail is machine packed for use by skiers and snowshoers. A 1-km spur connects Spruce River Highlands Trail to 18km of ski trails in the Anglin Lake area. The Great Blue Heron Provincial Park trail network includes two warm-up shelters.
