Campsites

Kathleen Lake campground is the perfect camping destination with sites nestled amongst the spruce tress and just a short walk from the shores of Kathleen Lake. Each of the 38 unserviced campsites has a picnic table and fire pit and the campground provides potable drinking water taps, firewood, bear-proof storage lockers, grey water sinks, bear-resistant garbage and recycling bins, outhouses, and a playground.

Campsites can accommodate tents, vans/pick-ups, tent trailers as well as trailers and motorhomes up to 30 ft. Although some sites may be able to accommodate a larger motorhome or trailer, there are no pull-through sites. Sites 7 and 13 are better suited for larger units as they have long, flat driveways. To help with accessibility needs, sites 3, 34 and 35 have stand up grills in addition to the fire rings and are close to the potable water taps and outhouse with ramp access. Campsite 32 is beside the playground.

Sites 23 and 25 are group camping sites. Group campsites can accommodate up to 15 people in up to 4-5 sleeping units (depending on the size of tents), and are intended for use by parties of more than 5 people or more than 2 camping units (tents). Only tents are permitted in group campsites, and the per person fee is applicable for each person camping.

If a group campsite is still unoccupied at 7pm and there are no other regular campsites available, you may use the campsite for one night as a regular campsite – regular campsite fees apply.

Closed for the season. We look forward to seeing you in May 2025!

Reservations

Sites 1 to 19 operate on a first-come, first-served basis and self-registration can be completed at the campground kiosk. Sites 20 to 39, including the two group sites, can be reserved in advance through the Parks Canada reservation service.

Offering the option to reserve a campsite ahead of time brings some campers peace of mind. And for some campers, flexibility is key. By offering first-come, first-served AND reservable campsites we’ve got everyone covered!

Reservations at Kathleen Lake campsites can only be made up to 24 hours prior to the booking day. Reservable campsites not reserved prior to that period will be marked on site as available for one night and may be taken using the first-come, first-served system.
