Hello, 

Your Office 2016 desktop apps are being updated to Microsoft 365 apps. 

This includes the programs you use regularly like Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. 

All Parks Canada computers will get this update in a phased approach over the next month, starting February 17, 2023. 

The update will automatically install on your computer in the background. No action is required on your part. 

You will know the update is complete when you see the modern Office icons in your Start menu (see illustration), or you notice a slightly different look and feel when using the apps.  

This is not a major change. It is more of a visual update with some new features. 

The main benefits of the update won’t be realized until you migrate to SharePoint Online and OneDrive (M365 cloud services) later in 2023.
