Results from the 2022-2023 Public Service Employee Survey
Dear colleagues,
I am pleased to inform you that the results of the 2022-2023 Public Service Employee Survey (PSES) are now available. On behalf of the senior management team, I would like to thank Parks Canada team members for participating in the survey, with a final participation rate of 60%.
The PSES is an important source of information that provides feedback to help the Agency build on its strengths and work on areas that need improvement. I am pleased to see that we are maintaining our results year after year in key areas such as employee engagement and satisfaction, respecting diversity and inclusion, and supporting the well-being and mental health of all employees. Likewise, we continue to ensure that team members feel encouraged to innovate and contribute to decisions affecting their work. It should also be noted that there has been a reduction in the number of problems related to employee pay, and that we will thus continue our efforts to resolve the remaining challenges posed by the Phoenix Pay System.
However, the results also show that we still have work to do, and I want to assure you that we are committed to taking the actions needed to achieve measurable improvements. Together, our ongoing efforts will focus on fostering an ethical and healthy workplace - exempt of harassment and discrimination - and on reinforcing organizational leadership to ensure that employees feel supported in their work.
I invite you to consult the results of the survey on the Treasury Board of Canada’s website. Detailed results for each management and business unit will be available towards the end of June.
We recognize that the timing of the survey did not allow all seasonal and temporary employees to participate but stay tuned as we will launch an internal survey by the end of summer 2023 to gather the views of all members of the Parks Canada team.
Thank you again for completing the survey and making your voice heard. For more information, visit the PSES page on ParksNet.
