Performance management Mid-year Review: The conversation continues

Dear colleagues,

With the Fall season well underway, it is now time to for the 2023-2024 mid-cycle performance review. This review is a key component of the performance management cycle. It provides employees and managers a great opportunity to have candid, constructive conversations on what has been accomplished so far and what remains to be done to effectively finish the year.

We ask that all team members and their manager complete the following steps by November 30, 2023.

  1. Review objectives, core competencies, and learning plans, and update as required in light of evolving priorities and current context.
  2. Discuss what progress was made, highlight achievements, and examine areas for improvement as required.
  3. Document these discussions in the Public Service Performance Management (PSPM) Application.
    • Managers: Confirm that each of your team members is on track to achieve their objectives and identify any areas for improvement. Add your comments and sign section E.
    • Employees: Take the time to review your manager's evaluation and add your comments prior to signing section E.

If you do not have access to the PSPM application, please complete the paper version.
