Dear colleagues,

I would like to take this opportunity to inform you that Lisa Young will be assuming the role of Acting Chief of Staff, within the Office of the President & Chief Executive Officer, from January 6, 2025, to May 5, 2025, while Paula Garrow is on training and annual leave.

Lisa began her career with the federal public service in 1996 at the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) where she spent five years working in several laboratory technician positions. After a brief role at Health Canada, she returned to CFIA where she grew as a leader. In 2014, Lisa accepted an executive role as Director, Corporate Risk, Planning and Reporting at CFIA.

Lisa joined Parks Canada in 2019 as Director, Conservation Strategies. Since then, she has added value to many horizontal projects within the Protected Areas Establishment and Conservation Directorate.

Lisa holds a Bachelor of Science (major in Biology) from the University of Ottawa.

Please join me in wishing Lisa all the best in her new role.
